Both planters hanging from the ceiling and hanging supports for pots are called ampels in Finland. They help to save space on table tops and with them you can take advantage of the full height of the bright window. Many hanging plants also just look super good in hanging baskets. And don't forget to use hanging planter for a bushy green plant that would take up a lot of space on the table in the width direction. When you place it to hang, there is more space on the tabletop for other (new) plants ;).

Traditional macrame planters are always a hit, but you should also try, for example, a metallic hanging planter, which is an interior decoration item in its own right. Ampels made of coconut, on the other hand, bring a jungle atmosphere to the home and they go really well with e.g. orchids.

In hanging planters, as in other pots, it is recommended to use inner pots with bottom holes to make it easier to assess the amount of irrigation water. For lazy waterers, the plastic inner pot gives a little leeway when watering, and open-handed waterers get help from the holes in the bottom, when excess water can drain to the bottom of the actual protective pot.
